Yoga for Life offers classes at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month to benefit non-profit entities in our community! The 75-minute classes are taught by different teachers and the price is whatever donation students are able or willing to offer. All donated proceeds go directly to the beneficiary organization.

What an opportunity! Yoga Matters offers the experience of yoga to the staff, donors and friends of local organizations who may not have an existing practice! Yoga Matters introduces new students to Yoga for Life! Yoga Matters raises money for deserving organizations, many of which are currently experiencing significant financial hardship. Yoga Matters also offers great yoga at the "right price" for students who may be on a tight budget.  We will share some great yoga … and often have a snack together afterward!

Organizations benefiting from past Yoga Matters events include Freedom School Partners, Catawba Lands Conservancy, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Humane Society, Jacob's Ladder, Hornets Nest Girl Scout Council, All Together Now International, Circle de Luz, Carolina Raptor Center, the Alzheimer's Association of Western Carolina, Men's Shelter of Charlotte, A Child's Place, The Center of Hope, Lakewood Community Development Corp., Mothering Across Continents, Substance Abuse Prevention Services, Dirt Divas, Presbyterian Cancer Rehabilitation & Wellness (Yoga Warriors Against Cancer), Dress for Success, Carolina Breast Friends, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National MS Society, La Leche League, Wing Haven, Carolina Thread Trail, Loaves & Fishes, North Carolina Outward Bound School, Hawthorne Lane Preschool and Sustain Charlotte.  Since we began Yoga Matters in 2009, we've helped raise more than $10,000 for great causes!
