New Passes Just for You!

We created two new cost-saving passes at Yoga for Life!  Wow!
- 25-Class Pass - For those with a bit more time in the summer for yoga, try it and save!  This pass is good only from May 29th (Memorial Day Saturday) through September 6th (Labor Day) and the price is just $225 ($9/class).  It's like purchasing a 20-Class Pass and receiving 5 extra classes for just $5!
- 100-Class Pass - For those who regularly attend 2 classes each week throughout the year, consider this pass!  This "annual" pass lasts a full year from the date of first use and costs only $799!  Save more than $300 a year over the price of 20-Class Passes!
Special Note:  No extensions will be authorized.  Ask for details!

Schedule Change

The 9:00 Mommy & Me class on Tuesdays will be discontinued, beginning 5/11.  If you are the parent of an infant (under 1 year) and would like to join such a class, please contact us so we can consider what times might be convenient.  Also, if you are part of a Parent Group that is interested in participating in a yoga class with your baby on a monthly (or periodic) basis, please let us know.  Our community would love to support the parents of infants.  No one can "om" like a baby!

Deborah Winegar Gift

WinegarMonoprint

Be sure to notice Deborah Winegar's monoprint "Contemplation," which is now at home in our reception area.  Centered Wellness is so very grateful for Deborah's talent and generosity in making a gift of her art to the studio.  "Contemplation" is an inspiring and beautiful visual representation of the work we do each day at Centered Wellness.  Thank you, Deborah, from the bottom of our hearts!

Thought for Today

The thought manifests as the word;
The word manifests as the deed;
The deed develops into habit;
And habit hardens into character.
So watch the thought and its ways with care,
and let it spring from love
born out of concern for all beings.

You Asked for It

If you've enjoyed eating the Dark Chocolate Clusters we've been serving at Centered Wellness, you'll really appreciate how simple they are to make.  You'll need the following ingredients:

  • 1 lb. Dark Chocolate
  • 1 c. Unsweetend Craisins (or less to taste)
  • 1 c. Lightly Salted Cashew Pieces (or less to taste)

Melt the chocolate over low heat, stirring continuously.  Allow to cool slightly.  Stir in craisins and cashews.  Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheets and refrigerate for at least 90 minutes.  Release clusters by pressing diagonal corners of the cookie sheet.  Enjoy!!!

Many students have also asked for the recipe for Yogi Tea. Maureen Scott has graciously agreed to share. Click here for the recipe.
